Now, you can start using Upstart as normal.
Running Remote Upstart over the Internet (WAN)
To setup running Upstart over the Internet (WAN), follow the same steps as above, except in
HW-VSP, rather than entering the local IP Address of the RUC, enter in the WAN IP address of
the network router used at the location where the RUC is installed. You can get this address
easily by merely typing in the URL line in your browser, www.ipchicken.com from any PC on
the LAN. Type this number in the HW-VSP text box for IP address. Other than this, perform
all of the other setup steps as above. You will probably have to open a port on your router
before you will be able to connect over the Internet. Please refer to your router documentation
for instructions on opening a port.
Once the PIM is connected, just use Upstart as normal.
UPB Interface Modules
There are UPB interface modules made by a number of different companies. Any UPB interface
module that can be connected to the DB9 on the RUC should work fine, however, there is one
issue that you should consider. In the normal Upstart mode, the PIM is put into Pulse mode,
